DECIDER is Syntegration 3.0
Syntegration® and DECIDER. ONE® follow the same idea: Complex problems can only be solved if distributed knowledge is intelligently networked. Both methods stand firmly on the foundation of cybernetics, as coined by Stafford Beer. And this is exactly where the real story begins.
Syntegration® and DECIDER. ONE® follow the same idea: Complex problems can only be solved if distributed knowledge is intelligently networked. Both methods stand firmly on the foundation of cybernetics, as coined by Stafford Beer. And this is exactly where the real story begins.
Dr. Gunter Nittbaur worked for several years at the Malík Management Center St. Gallen and was responsible for the Syntegration business unit. Based on the experience of around 150 Syntegration projects, he developed the DECIDER method and is now Managing Director of DECIDER.ONE GmbH, based in Konstanz on Lake Constance.
Minimal information distance.
Maximum networking.
Syntegration is designed to integrate knowledge from many minds in a short time. In a workshop lasting several days, 10 to 40 people typically work together in a highly structured communication architecture. The aim is to achieve maximum networking and thus ensure the highest possible transfer of information.
The method is based on clear cybernetic principles. Minimal information distance is created by systematically integrating every relevant perspective. Maximum networking is achieved through the specific communication structure that connects all participants. And the iterative approach ensures that findings are condensed step by step until viable solutions are created.
It is precisely these principles that are also reflected in the DECIDER approach.
Here, too, the collective intelligence of an organization is activated, systematically networked and led to clear decisions in iterative loops. The difference is not in thinking. The difference lies in the consistency of implementation.
Syntegration is a powerful workshop. DECIDER is an end-to-end system. While Syntegration is deliberately designed as an intensive but time-limited format, DECIDER covers the entire process end-to-end. From the clarification of the purpose and the involvement of the organization to implementation and reflection, DECIDER follows a clearly structured, recurring process in seven phases. This means that the energy of a workshop does not fizzle out. It is translated into concrete measures that will be implemented in a highly sustainable way.
Another crucial difference lies in the use of technology. Syntegration comes from a time when digital possibilities hardly played a role. DECIDER consistently uses the potential of digitization and artificial intelligence. Ideas will be widely collected before the workshop. Content is intelligently condensed. Decisions are prepared, not left to chance. And with the DECIDER app, the implementation is controlled in a binding manner and made transparent.
DECIDER.ONE = Syntegration 3.0
This creates something that goes beyond classic large group formats. A system that not only produces insights, but also ensures impact. You can also put it this way: Syntegration brings people into an excellently structured dialogue. DECIDER gets organizations moving.
Both approaches share the same cybernetic roots. Both believe in networking instead of hierarchy. Both rely on iterative knowledge instead of linear planning. But DECIDER goes the decisive step further. It combines these principles with a clear process, digital support and an uncompromising focus on implementation.
Perhaps the statement of a customer who knows both worlds is the best way to describe it: “DECIDER is Syntegration 3.0.”
